Today we are going to review a rosé wine that took the local market by storm from its very inception – Vivienne Cuvée 2019 by Fáutor Winery. This rosé wine is a blend made of five red varieties: syrah, tempranillo, cabernet sauvignonmerlot and feteasca neagra – regarded by many as the best rosé wine ever made in Moldova, we had no choice but to give it a try. The grapes are harvested in the famous Valul lui Traian wine region, while the wine’s blending formula is a statement, that this wine is designed to be the one that break hearts. That said, without further ado, let’s take a look at the wine tasting results.

Verdict: this is a very fine rosé wine that is right there, at the summit of its prime form: refreshingly crisp, fruity and extremely appealing, with a nuanced seedy accent and mouth-watering acidity. We would recommend to drink this wine today rather than tomorrow, as long as it’s still young and beautiful to enjoy it at its finest. Towards the end of the palate the wine brings a touch of alcoholic warmth and some very honest hints of elegance. All in all, this is one of the best rosé wines we’ve tasted so far – fair and crisp.
