Today we are also going to review another quite intriguing wine from the Valul lui Traian region in the south-west of Moldova – Blanca Cuvée 2022 by Fáutor Winery. This wine is a harmonious blend of two aromatic grape varieties: albariño (a spanish grape variety, brought to Moldova by the owners of Fáutor Winery), sourced from the small plot of 3 hectares planted near Romanovca village of Leova district in Tigheci, and feteasca regala (one of the most famous indigenous grape varieties in both, Romania and Moldova), where albariño forms the wine’s main body and structure, bringing in some much desired natural acidity, while feteasca regala adds up-front richness and delivers elegant floral notes to the foreground.
